SwimMark

Leamington Spa Amateur Swimming Club is a SwimMark accredited club. SwimMark is a scheme operated by Swim England. It is a planning tool, which enables clubs to help swimmers, coaches and administrators achieve their full potential. It focuses particularly on the needs of swimmers, and strives to provide them with the best possible support and environment.

SwimMark is a ‘Quality Mark’ which recognises the club’s commitment to providing quality, and safe services for the benefit of its members. The scheme ensures that the club operates within Swim England guidelines and is following best practice for both teaching and squads. Accreditation provides access to Swim England resources and funding to support training and development activities for coaches and for swimmers.

Swim England has three key aims which are reflected in the SwimMark programme.

  • To ensure that everyone has the opportunity to learn to swim.
  • To provide pathways to ensure everyone can achieve their potential.
  • To win GOLD medals on the world stage.

Clubs who want to secure SwimMark Accreditation work steadily towards gaining a series of outcomes, all of which are seen as essential if the right level of support is to be provided at each stage of an athlete's development.

After lots of hard work LSASC have been awarded with SwimMark and have been successful in renewing it on an annual basis, which means that it has reached the tough standards laid down by Swim England.
