Midland Qualifying Times 2009
Message from Matt
Midland times are now live for 2009
Midland Age Group Times (Boys 10-14, Girls 10 - 13)
Midland Youth Times (Boys 15 and over, Girls 14 and Over)
These are the times all swimmers in squads should be working hard to achieving this season. I advise all swimmers to print off a copy of the times, highlight the times they are closest to achieving and talk to their coach in person as to how together they can achieve the times required. If swimmers have already achieved these standards they should print off the national qualifying times and be working towards these.
National Qualifying Times
The primary target for the coaching team is to achieve as many midland and national qualifiers as possible. Without this standard of swimmer in our squads we will never achieve sustainable success in league galas as all the top teams we face at junior and senior level will have a host of midland and national swimmers. These times are the most important accolade in age group swimming and should be the sole focus of our children rather than how often am I selected for LSASC, my club gala results or which squad am I in.
BACK
Club Hoodies
Orders are now being taken for club hoodies.
Sizes : age 9/11 and 12/13 £18 to include Leamington badge embroidered on front and swimmers name printed on back

Help Wanted
The
Club urgently needs
more people to volunteer
as poolside helpers on
Tuesdays (Newbold) and
Fridays (St Nic's) - 'on-the-job'
practical training will
be given by our qualified
teachers. We do run an LSASC Poolside Helpers
Course which anyone over the age of 14 would be very welcome to join, - that's
the way Natalie and Emily started. Current LSASC helpers on Saturday are
Hazel Burcham and Lizzie Warham, together with ex-swimmer Becky Howe who is working
towards her Poolside helper certificate, and Luke Campion who is helping with
the squads. So
do talk to them if
you are interested
in finding out more,
or contact Janet Welsh.
Its fun and very rewarding.

Attn All Squad Swimmers
Over
recent months several swimmers have, by agreement , trained with
a squad other than the one to which they belong. Unfortunately
there are many more swimmers within the club for whom a particular
training session within their squad timetable is not convenient. The
committee therefore believe it is unfair to allow an minority to
continue to with this practice.
Therefore , with effect from 1st October, all swimmers may only
train at the sessions relevant to their squad, irrespective of
any previous agreement.
